"He has the most uncanny intuitive ability and is kindness personified." For service call 616-530-1254 or e-mail wezensky5@att.net
- Po Tolo Father Italian BOB, mother from multi champion litter: Slovakia (click here for dossier)

( meaning : Star Seed) This little man is the result of five years of planning and dreaming. His semen ( seed) arrived frozen from Sweden. "Tolo" is smaller in size, with huge soulful eyes, amazing pigment, strong patella, and good bite. His personality is bold and yet he is sweet and gentle. I have not seen a more intelligent dog. Joanne Simmons showed Po Tolo to his championship and now looks forward to being daddy to Tia's litter May 25th, 2010. This busy boy qualified as a therapy dog in March of 2010 and loves his agility classes. For breedings email : simmons7@verizon.net or theglowingheart@yahoo.com
- Antoleo born August 19th, 2008 to Didi ( Russian male ) and Siria (European bloodlines) (IatoX Amein). See at : http://www.bolognese.sk/bolonese/indexa.htm. Antoleo is standing in a show home, and began his show career at 6 months of age. His personality is beyond unbelievable...happy, unafraid and extremely gentle and non-demanding, responsive and loving.

- Mabel (Mama Mia) - (click here for dossier) imported from Slovakia moved to Colorado to bless Melissa Scheetz's home after giving me two litters. Her solid body, beautiful coat, constant smile and sweet nature makes loving the Bolognese so easy.
- Oxana imported from Slovakia now lives in New York with Barbara and Paul page . Ox , whose ( littermates) brothers took over the show ring in Europe, gave me the incredible PoTolo (click here for dossier)
- Mika ,
out of Mabel and Irbis was borne of a whisper from Spirit. Her beauty, temperament and structural perfection leaves me grateful for such a great blessing. Her beautiful nature makes her everyone's instant favorite.
- Amma (named for the hugging saint who shares the same huge black eyes)

- Dalia
( gentle...slender branch )Truly a name befitting this tiny one who loves to snuggle against my head). These two beauties have the most beautiful faces and eyes you will see in a Bolognese. Littermates, they were imported from Slovakia and are out of Aphaia's best female Amien who has produced a string of top winning show dogs.Their sire, Veno, is a stunning BOB...imported from Russia (click here for dossier)
- Sakala , 11-14-2008 .Her breeder Jessica of Little White Wonder, believes that Sakala is the most beautiful puppy she has ever seen. When I visited the kennel and looked into the puppies play area one puppy stood out among all the others...and believe me they were all top show quality. I picked her up with a gasp and Jessica smiled. "You have Delizia..( to whom I gave the name Sakala, a Sanskrit name meaning To Be Known, or Complete.) What a blessing to have this kind of beauty in my breeding program. Sakala's mother, Julietta, is one of the top show dogs of Little White Wonder taking first in her class at the world dog show in Bratislava 10-2009 http://www.bolognese.nl/introduction.htm Pictured here:
Below is a picture of Sakala after the first day at her first ever dog show...in LA. In a two day weekend Sakala earned national and international champion , one Best of Show one reserved Best of Show, four Bests of Toy breeds and four BOB. With one international judge stating that she was the most beautiful Bolo they had judged.
- Three years ago I had seen a picture of Sakala's sire, Opal, on the internet but because I did not know how to communicate with his owner, Bärbel Fricke, in Germany, I did not inquire about a puppy .
Opal is a rare beauty with deep pigmentation, short muzzle, smaller size. square body and great coat. To have his daughter, is for me, a miracle. Picture of Sakala taken at 2009 world dog show by Barbel, Opal's breeder.
When Sakala was three months old a dear friend spent a week with me. At the end of that week she suggested that I rename her Lalita Sakala. Lalita is known as the Goddess of bliss, Etymologically, "Lalita" means "She Who Plays. In Sanskrit, Lalita means JOY. How appropriate as little Lilita Sakala is Complete JOY In preparation for the World Dog Show in October 2009, Sakala's trainer pointed herout to the class on several occasions, "Look at Sakala, see how happy she is? That is the look we want in our show dogs." (click here for dossier)
- Nadia:
pictured at 15 mo. When I began to put together my program , I asked to be put on a waiting list for a special puppy out of Aika, a beautiful and tiny female imported to Slovakia from Russia. It would take three years before this special puppy was born on 10-30-2008. Her breeder, Ladislav Kaminicky was torn, wishing to keep her, saying that she he would never repeat this breeding ( her sire was getting older), but knowing I had waited for 3 long years. Ladislav offered her at a price worthy of her quality. Yukis , maternal grandfather to Nadia...and paternal great grandfather to Amma and Dalia. He is pure Russian and lives in Russia.
-
- Knowing that she would return my investment with her babies I agreed to his offer. For months the name Nadia had kept coming to me. When I looked up the meaning, I knew why. Nadia means " Hope. "
This perfectly square beauty is that great hope for the quality I wish to instill into the Bolognese of Gentle Winds and the genetic gift I wish to offer the Bolognese breeders within the USA.
Nadia at 12 months and not quite 5# is my playful one and a great cuddler.

Mabel, "Mama Mia"
Let me begin by sharing stories from some of those who purchased puppies from Mia's two litters.
Susan Parsons of http://bolojaxbolognese.com/index.htmlHere are a few pictures of my new baby Sophia!! ( see pictures under Our Dogs/ Puppies and their families/ Stella) "She is wonderful.......I had to laugh the other day I was in the kitchen fixing dinner and turned around to see Mia and Sophia laying side by side in the same pose with the same expression on their faces. Grandma and granddaughter.....it was priceless!!
had for many years raised Havernese. Susan stayed with this breed not only because of their beauty but because of their gentle nature. When she brought Stella home she was taking a chance . To her delight, Stella never stopped smiling. She was the queen , sitting on her "throne" surveying her home with quiet dignity. The girls loved to play dress up with Stella and she suffered the indignity with grace and patience, even pretending to enjoy the experience. Susan wrote to tell me that she had fallen madly in love with Stella and the breed she so elegantly represented. When Susan bred Stella for the first time, one of the leaders of the Bolognese Club of America purchased Sophia from Susan. Earlier, Melissa had purchased Mama Mia from me. Now she had mother and granddaughter. This is what she wrote about the "family reunion":
Tanya Wezensky purchased Daisy from Mia's second litter. She writes, "Daisy is a PRINCESS. I think a lot like Mia. Somewhere between nine and ten months it seems she has grown up and wants to spend time with me, lying right next to me. Carly, of course can snuggle with her any time. She wraps her in a blanket and they become ONE. She also dresses her up in clothes. With summer has come more babies to our day care center. Stella sneaks in for a quick lick on the babies lips. It is so funny. That is how sweet they are. Neither she nor Obie jump on the kids or knock them down or nip at them."
J Mabel Denajwen was bred and born at the Kennel Denajwen. The Volšickýs began their program by traveling to Slovakia to purchase their first Bolognese female. The following is taken with permission from their web site http://www.denajwen-bolognese.cz/bolognese-introduction.htm

Our aim is to breed healthy, standard Bolognese puppies, which will be a benefit for breeding these still scarce dogs. The Bolognese is a great companion for all age groups - from a child up to seniors. We insist on well socialization of our Bolognese puppies to give them the best possibilities to be used in canine-therapy in future. As the Bolognese is known as an "antidepressive" dog, we do our best, so our Bolognese can help their new owners get over the daily stress and hectic times.
Therefore we prefer not only a nice looking dog, but also a perfect, ideal, social nature.
|
When Mabel was a small puppy, Ladislav Kamenicky , from Aphaia kennels in Slovakia, ( who incidentially had sold Kennel Denajwen their first Bolognese) drove to their kennel to pick out Mabel for his program . He kept her until she was 20 months of age and showed her to her first two show wins. When Gloria was looking for the perfect breeding female, a two year seach lead her to also choose the kennel Aphaia in Slovakia. She was able to purchase Mabel and kept her at Ladislav's kennel until Mabel had a positive pregnancy check, bred to his great sire Iato. Ladislav flew with Mabel to Minnesota when she had just three weeks left before delivery. In his words, “Mabel tolerated the stress much better than I.” Mabel arrived unscathed by her adventure ( 28 hours by car on day one , 14 hours a second day and then the flight to NYC and then on to Minneapolis and then 2 more hours to our home) She whelped three weeks later quite peaceful . Her babies were the things of dreams. All were sold long before they entered this world and have gone to extraordinary homes.
The following pedigrees for Mabel’s father Vilik and mother E Hanny were taken with permission from http://www.denajwen-bolognese.cz/bolognese-males.htm and http://www.denajwen-bolognese.cz/bolognese-females.htm

He is really perfectly square, small male with excellent male head, with enough strong structure and straight, solid back.
Vilik has extremely heavy, long, standard coat.
Excellent, great nature.
I met Vilik at the 2009 world dog show in Bratislava. He was still gorgeous in his "old" age and easily won his veteran class. Prior to his being shown , I stopped by to see him. Vilik, looked so much like Mika, his granddaughter with the shorter muzzle, facial expressions, body structure and extremely thick coat of hair. When he sat on his bumm and waved his front legs in the air, I burst out laughing. This was obviously a "family trait" passed on to many of his grandbabies. I have seen it only in Mika and her siblings. Mika 11-09
